Our goal is to provide a great shopping experience for all customers. We’re actively enhancing the accessibility and usability of our website and mobile apps to deliver meaningful, inclusive digital experiences that cater to all users.
How accessible are we?
Our accessibility work is guided by the requirements of the European Accessibility Act, and our technical implementation generally adheres to the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 and the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA. We strive to ensure our services are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. To ensure and maintain the long-term accessibility of our services, we integrate these considerations into our design, development, and testing stages. For example, automated checks for certain accessibility elements like contrast and text resizing are embedded directly in our product design system. During development, our teams rely on tailored accessibility checklists to consistently implement requirements across our platforms. We also conduct internal testing and ongoing training for our teams. We collaborate closely with external partners, including our payment providers, to ensure their integrated services uphold the same high accessibility standards within our platform.
Known limitations and ongoing improvements
While we strive for our platforms to meet accessibility requirements and user expectations, we’re aware that some areas may not yet fully align with our goals. We are committed to an ongoing process of improvement in these areas.
Currently, we are working to enhance accessibility in the following areas:
Visual content descriptions: We continue to enhance the way our visual content, such as product images, web banners, and video content, is described and presented to ensure it’s fully accessible to all users. This includes the ongoing implementation of alternative text for images.
Navigation and interactive elements: We’re making ongoing enhancements to improve the clarity and usability of links and other interactive elements across our website and customer service pages.
Email accessibility: Our teams are improving the accessibility of both marketing and transactional emails, focusing on better support for assistive technologies and clear content presentation.
We aim to address these areas as part of our continuous development cycle.
Please note that due to current technical limitations, we are unfortunately not able to offer dark mode or orientation support within our mobile apps. If you prefer using our services in a different orientation, we recommend using the web version.
